Montezuma's revenge and jet lag... those might give you a clue about what this post is about. Whenever I travel, I enjoy be prepared for minor emergencies and medical. That's why I always pack a bag of supplements to take care of things like jet lag, Montezuma's revenge, and, oh yeah, eating way too much. -

The Travel Emergency first aid kit
What goes into my kit will work well for just about anyone this holidays. It's pretty much the same, whether you are headed across the country or just having a bunch of people to your house for your holidays.
1. Ume Plum Balls or Tar
Produced from the umeboshi plum, this substance is indeed concentrated that it appears purplish black (don't get the ume plum sauce, which is light purple rather than very concentrated). Extremely alkaline, ume plum tar is ideal for preventing jet lag and immediately soothing any sort of digestive upset. It's ideal for Montezuma's revenge as well as overdoing it in a holiday buffet. This supplement comes in most health food stores.
2. Acidophilus and Bifidus
Probiotics like acidophilus and bifidus are important because they keep your digestive system in good working order, which is especially important if you are intending to eat strange food or perhaps a lot of it. What's important too about probiotics is that they help your body produce B-vitamins. B-vitamins, as you may know, help boost your disease fighting capability, keep your energy levels high, and in addition help you stay mentally calm and focused. If you are going to be stressed this holiday season (perhaps by in-laws or other such guests), B-vitamins will allow you to stay calm... and possible keep you from ripping out your hair and running screaming to the streets!
3. Atomidine
This can be a special form of iodine promoted sometime ago by Edgar Cayce. Atomidine supports the thyroid gland, has anti-aging properties (like preventing grey hair), and could be used topically for from cuts to bee stings. It's really a definite first-aid must. I'm guessing daily at home, and produce it with me on trips for emergencies. To take it daily, take one drop with spring water on Mondays, two drops on Tuesdays, three drops on Wednesdays and so on through Friday. Take the weekend off then start again on Monday. I'm almost 73 yrs . old and I credit Atomidine with helping me stay active and healthy. Plus, I've almost no grey hair! This supplement are located in most health food stores that carry Edgar Cayce products.
4. StemPlex
StemPlex may be the fix-it for all kinds of injuries and strains, as well as chronic pain. StemPlex (see Authors bio box below) stimulates the manufacture of adult stem cells within your body, which your body then uses to correct itself. Last year in Cancun I popped my collarbone out of joint while showing someone how you can do an Aikido roll. Yeah, that hurt! But taking 1-2 StemPlex each day has eliminated the anguish and helped the recovery process tremendously. StemPlex also works on sprains, bruises, chronic pain anywhere in the body, and overall muscle soreness. - natural remedies for jet lag
5. Blue-Green Algae and Enzymes
Whether you are shopping, eating, celebrating, or simply plain making merry, you won't want to be slowed down by low energy. Blue-green algae and enzymes supply the basic nutrition which our bodies need to produce energy. The algae provides the majority of the glycogen, vitamins, minerals, and minerals our bodies need, even though the enzymes ensure that our digestion works great. Before leaving for any trip, load up on algae and enzymes, and then take more when needed during the trip.
